Ingredients:
40g ground charcoal (helps the incense burn slowly).
30g wood powder (sandalwood or oud powder).
15g ground mastic (you can leave some small granules).
10g ground coffee (gives a warm aroma and completes the look).
5g powdered gum arabic (for binding).
10-15ml rosewater or plain water (for kneading).
A few drops of essential oil (optional, such as oud, vanilla, or amber).
Steps:
In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients (charcoal, wood powder, coffee, mastic, and gum arabic).
Add the essential oil if desired, then gradually add the rosewater, kneading until you get a firm dough.
Prepare the silicone coffee bean molds and clean them of any dust.
Fill the molds with the dough and press firmly to ensure a good shape.
Leave the molds in a cool, dry place away from sunlight for 3-5 days until they are completely dry.
Remove the pieces from the molds and store them in an airtight container for two more days before use to allow the fragrance to develop.
Usage:
Place a piece of mastic and coffee incense on a charcoal or electric incense burner. You’ll experience a warm aroma with hints of mastic and coffee, and its shape, resembling coffee beans, adds to its attractive appearance.
